Charitable investments for economic independence

Equip. Educate. Cultivate. Harvest. Repeat.

The Gambia

A grassroots initiative

Sustainable Gambia works directly with communities in The Gambia to help them attain economic independence, resiliency and self-sustainability.

Sustainable Gambia works closely with struggling communities by capitalizing on the inherent high potential and the most neglected resources in the country: the young and talented population, the country’s rich natural resources.

We network with local leaders to understand the challenges and opportunities relevant for that particular village, then enlist local contractors to build the infrastructure required for the village to become economically independent.

One community

Our Process

01.

— Establish connections

Our advisors in The Gambia connect us with a community that may benefit from a charitable infrastructure investment.

02.

— Identify opportunities

Our team works with local leaders and decision makers to evaluate & identify opportunities in that particular community.

03.

— Plan the project

Together with local stakeholders, we create a holistic business plan that incorporates new agricultural & community infrastructure.

04.

— Raise funds

We obtain estimates for the project from local contractors, then raise the necessary funds from our worldwide community.

05.

— Build infrastructure

Local contractors work with community members to build the project.

06.

— Maintain & strengthen relationships

We continue to work with the community over time to ensure the long term success of the project and identify new opportunities.
